Visit Pollocksville

The Town of Pollocksville is a quiet agricultural town. Once prosperous for lumber milling, the Town of Pollocksville still maintains its rich architectural history nestled alongside the natural beauty of the Trent River. Pollocksville is a Bird Sanctuary and welcomes any aviaries. The Town boasts nearby fields of corn, soybean, and cotton, surrounded by the dense pines of the Hofmann Forest to the East, and the Croatan National Forest to the West. It is the ideal basecamp for hiking, biking, fishing, and hunting. The local tributaries are wonderfully scenic and are only accessible by canoe, kayak, or standup paddle board. You can reach us by boat via the deep water of the Trent River. Twelve miles downriver, the Trent River joins the Neuse River to form the "Twin Rivers" of New Bern. The Neuse River basin connects to the Pamlico Sound and the Bogue Sound via the Intracoastal Waterway. Or you can reach the Bogue Sound with a 30 minute drive, and shortly beyond is the magnificent Crystal Coast.

Presently, the Town is a sweet bedroom community to the nearby cities of New Bern and Jacksonville. Pollocksville is ideally situated within 15 minutes of New Bern Regional Airport (EWN) and 45 minutes to Albert J. Ellis Airport (OAJ) in Jacksonville. To reach any place in the world, Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is only 2.5 hours West of Pollocksville.
